When we were researching things to do in Kauai with our toddler and baby, we kept coming across this same pineapple mural, and it was definitely shrouded in some mystery: always referred to as hidden or hard-to-find.

Let me just say, that is some serious overkill. I was expecting some kind of hunt to find it! I’m here to settle the mystery for you. It turns out, it’s just in a parking lot. But is it still worth visiting?
Absolutely. And not just for the instagram shot!

This awesome, sunshiney mural is in the lot behind the Kauai Juice Co. and Java Kai in Kapaa. Walk around the side of the building to get to the back. And while we came for the pineapple, we came back (repeatedly) for the fabulous breakfast and snacks from Java Kai.

There are also some adorable little shops all around the area.

So make a morning of it. Pop in for a breakfast bowl, grab a juice to go from Kauai Juice Co., get some new beach gear, and enjoy the scenery. A perfect start to a fun day in paradise.
